reached Glasgow about a week ago..
but i was sooooo tired that i only felt like sleeping all the time..
missing my comforter soo much when i was away..
did laundry, cleaned the room..
prepared for new semester..
and finally FINALLY formated my Dellie..
hopefully it wont show me Blue face again.. please..........
ok,
back to the trip..
21 days..8 flights, 3 trains..
reallllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy tiring...
couldnt really enjoy the last week of travelling..
maybe get tired of museums and castles at the end..
anyway,
it was FUN!!
really opened up my eyes and see the part of world which are non-english-speaking.. =P
first stop:
Munich, Germany
saw Neuschwanstein Castle (New Swan Stone Castle), where Sleeping Beauty's Castle was inspired...
we joined the bike tour, cycled around the hills and lake..
the scenery was speechlessly beautiful...
and since we were in Germany, we could never miss out BEER!! see how big the beer cup is...
next stop,
Ulm, Germany
visited the tallest church..
completed 768 steps to reach the top.. huuuuuuuuuuu..........
move on to
PISA!!
completed 3 hours tour in Pisa (it's actually a transit for our flight from Munich to Paris.. =P)
we continue journey to
PARIS
the Eiffel Tower..
DISNEYLAND!!!!
after that,
Rome, Italy..
the historic city...
most significantly,
the Colosseum..
and went to the nearby country,VATICAN CITY,
the smallest country on earth..

didnt see the Pope,
but saw the breath-taking Sistein Chapel painting by Michelangelo..
how he made all his painting alive..
u wont want to look down although ur neck is sore.. (bcs the paintings are at the ceiling..)
follow up,
FLORENCE..
a small town for us to rest and recharge energy..
but turned out to be our shopping heaven!! =P
not so tired to do jump shot though.. =P
since the girls went to Pisa on the next day,
3 of us chose to go
SIENA..
another smaller town about an hour away from Florence...
then,
went on to
VENICE,
city surrounded by water...
the main transportation in venice is boat..
different types of boats, called by different names.. eg vaporetto, gondola, tragetto..
even the ambulance is a boat.. how cool is that~~ =P
the water level is so high that flood is so common in venice..
they have metal racks and wood pieces ready everywhere to face flood in minutes..
next up,
Naples and CAPRI!!
weeeeeeee~~~
finally something different..
less museums, more sea, sun and wind!!
the beautiful island in Italy..
we hired a boat which brought 8 of us around the island..
it's GREAT!!
the first time i swam in Europe was actually in the CLEAR BLUE SEA!!
too bad i had sea-sickness towards the end.. =(
with the sore body, running nose and cough
we flew to the last stop:
MILAN~~
although we saw many churches and cathedrals along the trip..
Milan Cathedral still caught our eyes..
summary:
visited many places,
heard German, French and Italians..
found general French less tourist friendly than Italians..
(Except Jerom who took the effort to bring us around in Paris.. thank u!! ^^)
found how patriotic we actually are.. (we speak Malay all the time bcs that is the only language all of us understand and they dont.. =P)
realised how much we miss Glasgow for the friendly people and english speaking environment..
realised how much pictures we had actually taken.. (more than 20Gb in total???)
realised how much pasta and pizza we could eat throughtout the trip.. =P
and.......
realised how much we actually spent on SOUVENIRS!!
i bought 3 third of what she bought?? =P
that's all for now~~
more pictures in Facebook.. ^^
and
HAPPY MOONCAKE FESTIVAL!!!
i want to eat mooncake!!!!!!! huhu...
